In January, I start taking a class called Topics In Comics which will focus on Canadian comics this year. They just arrived the other day, and I think this is the most excited I’ve ever been to take a class at university.
The books I’ll be reading are:
- 1919 – A Graphic History of the Winnipeg General Strike by The Graphic History Collective & David Lester
- Agnes, Murderess by Sarah Leavitt
- Two Generals by Scott Chantler
- Essex County by Jeff Lemire
- My New York Diary by Julie Doucet
- This One Summer by Mariko Tamaki and Jillian Tamaki
I’m probably going to read all of them by the end of December and make notes as I analyze them. Not sure if I’ll post my notes and observations here. Is that something you would be interested in reading? Leave a comment if you do.
